Au fil des années nous avons publié une multitude d’articles à partir de nos principaux piliers.

Notre recherche vise à mieux comprendre les mécanismes sous-jacents aux troubles endocriniens pédiatriques et à traduire ces découvertes en une amélioration du diagnostic, du suivi et du traitement. Grâce à une recherche clinique et translationnelle multidisciplinaire, notre groupe a apporté des contributions significatives à la médecine de précision dans le domaine du diabète de l’enfant et de l’endocrinologie pédiatrique.

2. Proposer un nouveau traitement du Diabète de Type 1

Au-delà de la recherche clinique, notre laboratoire a contribué au développement de thérapies régénératives pour le diabète. Nous avons démontré que l’ARNm synthétique modifié peut reprogrammer les cellules canulaires pancréatiques humaines en cellules productrices d’insuline, apportant ainsi la preuve de concept que le reprogrammage cellulaire constitue une stratégie thérapeutique potentielle.

Nos travaux expérimentaux ont également permis d’identifier des interventions pharmacologiques capables de préserver la masse des cellules β et d’améliorer la tolérance au glucose dans des modèles précliniques, ouvrant ainsi de nouvelles voies vers des thérapies de modification de la maladie.

De la découverte à la médecine de précision

Ensemble, nos efforts ont permis d’établir de nouveaux biomarqueurs, d’identifier des phénotypes cliniques jusqu’alors méconnus, de développer des modèles prédictifs pour des soins individualisés et de générer des stratégies thérapeutiques innovantes englobant aussi bien la gestion optimisée du diabète que la médecine régénérative. Ces découvertes sont unies par un objectif commun : traduire les avancées scientifiques en un diagnostic plus précoce, un traitement plus personnalisé et de meilleurs résultats à long terme pour les patients pédiatriques atteints de maladies endocriniennes.
